R.K. is the new musical collaboration between Ronnie Turner
(Bulletproofsonics/Blunted Funk) and Kev Beadle (Solar Radio/Southport
Weekender).
On this first release the boys have chosen two much loved classic
tracks from back in the day and have respectfully extended and re-tweaked them.
First up the percussive and horn heavy, orchestrated string
laden Salsoul Orchestra disco version of the Earth, Wind & Fire classic
‘Getaway’ gets an overhaul extending the track by nearly 3 minutes from the
original.
Charles Earland’s 1980 classic ‘Coming To You Live’ gets the R.K. treatment with an extended intro featuring killer brass, percussion and bassline groove that builds and builds to the hooky vocal drop.
