R.K. Edits Vol.1 - OUT NOW ON VINYL !!

R.K. is the new musical collaboration between Ronnie Turner (Bulletproofsonics/Blunted Funk) and Kev Beadle (Solar Radio/Southport Weekender).
On this first release the boys have chosen two much loved classic tracks from back in the day and have respectfully extended and re-tweaked them.

First up the percussive and horn heavy, orchestrated string laden Salsoul Orchestra disco version of the Earth, Wind & Fire classic ‘Getaway’ gets an overhaul extending the track by nearly 3 minutes from the original.
Charles Earland’s 1980 classic ‘Coming To You Live’ gets the R.K. treatment with an extended intro featuring killer brass, percussion and bassline groove that builds and builds to the hooky vocal drop.

Feedback......

Phil Asher - Love it
Superbreaks -The Charles Earland is great
Eric (Rub n'Tug) - thanks..Getaway
Michael McKenna (Keep Schtum) - Can't make mind up, love them both
Moodymanc - nice edits of a couple of great tracks
Darren Daz Dalton (Get Down Edits) - excellent disco edits right up our streets
LTJ Experience - nice edits release
Erik (Giant Steps NYC) -MAAAAASIVE - need this on wax
Rob Luis - Like them both. Will support
Phil Mison - both great, loving Getaway
Leo Elstob - Two of my absolute faves done up nice and tight for todays floors - I can see my self spinning these edits for many years to come.
Leftside Wobble - The 'Getaway' edit teases and twists yet still remains true to the fantastic original. Class edit.
Daz-I-Kue - Put together neatly. NICE!!!
Rocky (X-Press2) - Some more winners. Well in chaps.
Craig Smith (6th Borough Project) - Top quality edit bizzle, defo been rinsing both these
Mad Mats - Really like the edit of coming to you live. Original has always been a big tune for me so its nice with more dj friendly version.
Rahaan - Nice
Michael Ruetten - first thought: who needs an edit of such a BIG tune like getaway by the salsouls? second thought: nicely done!
Marcia Carr - Cool and sophisticated, these re-edits are fresh for the dance floor, I am sure to rinse them out hard!
Keith Dalton (groovement soul) - Really feeling both edits here. Coming to you live has a kind of smug lazy groove quality to it that just keeps giving.
Sean Gorham - Great Edits made with love and sophistication that seems to be so lacking in most of the edits I receive. A cut above the rest.
